Sem's Moving and Storage

We had 2 workers sent for the move of my 1 bedroom + den condo. They arrived on schedule, checked things over and got down to work. However, as the morning progressed, it became apparent that the time stated for the move would not be accurate, and that more time might be needed for the job. Once this was decided, the fellows COMPLETELY SLOWED DOWN, not being quick about anything, found them in the locker area 'discussing' things instead of moving, carried 1 item at a time instead of using a cart or some kind of quantity assistance. Ironically, we were moving the exact same distance as I had moved 2 years previously and it took OVER 2 hours LONGER by Sems than the orig company we used. Would NOT recommend them, especially after contacting the "office" and being criticized for the way things were packed. Had done the exact same previously with no difficulties.

SEMs moving and started the ball rolling with an on site estimate. They let me know what to expect for my relocation and then backed it up with a full quote (some of the other companies could not even be bothered!) Alex handled it from that point, fully coordinating with us. Joy to work with. The first day they put us into storage, then the delivery was made a couple of weeks later and we could not have been happier with the outcome. not a scratch in sight!! Awesome Guys !!

SEMs Moving & Storage made my home move home so easy! Their response time after my initial inquiry to schedule a date was very fast, and I was able to schedule my move quickly. I received important information in a timely manner and the two crew arrived on time the day of the move. They were professional, well equipped, considerate of the few specialty items I have, and took care to protect my furniture and paintings very well. The crew was professional, hard working, efficient, polite, and personable. I was very impressed with the quality of service and the transparency of the estimate and final cost. I would definitely use this service again and highly recommend it.

I hired Sems Moving for a move in November, 2019. It would be hard to imagine a more pleasant moving experience. I was almost ready when they arrived, and met them downstairs to update them of this and apologize. I was immediately reassured and put at complete ease by the crew, who then proceeded to accomplish the task with a remarkable hybrid of speed, efficiency, and care. At no time was I concerned for the safety of my belongings or the time it was taking to pack them. They were simply amazing, from the front office making the arrangement to the crew in place at my home. It was an entirely pleasant experience, which is really saying something given the inherent discomfort so often a part of moving in the first place. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

It was our fourth attempt at using a professional moving company and from the initial contact, I could tell that SEMS Moving and Storage were the best I have ever used, by QUITE a distance. From the way they carefully disassembled our things, wrapped them up, and packed them in the truck, then reassembled and located at delivery, no one could have done it better. They moved all including the large and the small, the light and heavy, breakable and unbreakable, without damaging anything. I got everything I needed from SEms. They are an exceptional moving company. They really do care and they get the job done perfectly! I hired them for my move recently and it was very smooth and easy. They came in on time, worked very hard until the job was done and then left. Every item was nicely packed and moved. They delivered on time too and they also helped unload all of the stuff. There were no damages in the end and no extra fees. This is the company I will use again for sure.

When another moving company cancelled on me the night before my big move, I was left scrambling to find an affordable, reliable mover. I'm so glad I found SEMs Moving and Storage! I called them at 9am. and in less than two hours, the screw arrived, 45 minutes early, and got us moved into our new home. The movers were extremely helpful and professional. They even fixed the legs of a table I had purchased, which arrived the same day. If I ever need a moving service in the future, I will call SEMs first.

Amazing moving company that exceeded all my expectations. This owner really cares about his business and his customers. They are professional, courteous and executed with great service. They helped us move twice in the same week and all with last minute notice. They made it simple and easy to pack and move all of our items. You just give them a call and they take care of the rest. They don't nickel and dime you and come with an all inclusive package without any hidden fees. I would highly recommend SEMs Moving company to anyone who needs a move. I reached out to SEMS Moving & Storage when I was moving from my home of 20 years. When interviewing moving companies I received multiple follow up emails from Danika ensuring me not only did SEMS have great pricing; they were also eager to earn my business. She told me if I had any questions don't hesitate to call her back. Once I decided to go with SEMS I met Drago, Mike and Alfredo on moving day. They introduced themselves and after a quick tour went to work. The team worked efficiently and had my home packed on the truck in no time. They were careful with my belongings and wrapped my furniture to ensure they did not damage the furniture or walls. Once we arrived at my new home they continued to treat my belongings with care. They even asked me how I wanted certain pieces angled (for best viewing, coordination between the bed & dresser, etc.). These were all the little touches that fully personalized my move and confirmed why SEMS was the best company to go with! I don' plan to move again soon, but wouldn't hesitate to use or recommend them again.

My company used SEMs Moving & Storage for our office move last month and it was WONDERFUL! I have used them before for a local move when my husband moved back east from Calgary and both times were great experiences. This was the first time using them for an office move and now, I will exclusively use SEMs. It was a freezing day, the crew was on-time and had great positive attitudes. You would never know that it was cold out because not a single member complained or mentioned it. They moved us so quickly I almost wish I had more stuff! They wrapped up all our desks and office belongings and moved us into a new office in a matter of hours. We did our research before our very first move and found that not only were the licensed, but when we compared them to other local businesses we found them to be the best priced and the most knowledgeable. My advice to anyone moving their home or business is to do your research! Ask the right question, and make sure the company you go with is licensed and insured. Don't go with the cheapest option you come across because you will probably get screwed along the way. I would recommend SEMs Moving & Storage to anyone that will listen.

Came across SEMs on this website and after seeing their glowing reviews decided to give them a shot. They came over to look at our 2 bedroom apartment and said that in order to do it in one trip (completion on the sale of our apartment was happening on the same day as our move) we required a big truck and three movers . The guys arrived at 8am on the dot on the day of the move and got to work straight away! I can't thank Mike and his team enough for their professionalism, friendliness and sheer hard work! They managed to get all boxes, dismantle furniture and loaded onto the truck in time for us to hand over keys, complete on the purchase of our new home and make our way there.

Mike and his team unloaded all boxes and put them into the corresponding rooms as instructed. They also reassembled the furniture they dismantled quickly and securely for us. What could have easily turned into a stressful day trying to coordinate the completion of both our sale and buy, SEMs took away all of the worries of actually transporting everything! No damages whatsoever! Mike and his team come HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thanks again guys!! We couldn't have done it without you!

Your services are like no other – you paid very close attention to my situation and details of the relocation to make sure I found my place perfectly to settle down and I really valued having you to go to at every step of the way as moving into a new area can be challenging at the best of times. SEMs really made my arrival and my research super easy and concise. I felt really welcome with someone who really cared about what I was searching for.

As per usual I waited till the last minute.. So why would I do any different when it comes to moving! I was contacted by a couple dozen people and there were a few that I chose to talk to, but the one that sounded the most genuine was Alex. Everything he told me came true. Moving on up! That's right I moved into my dream home with the help of SEMS Moving this last month. What an overall amazing customer service experience. From the fast quote response from Alex who was prompt to return my call and explained every detail possible to ensure I understand each process. Her follow through and check in prior to the move was right on time. He was even easy to accommodate a last minute change in schedule due to my move out day being pushed back. Phillip was the lead mover for my two man crew. He walked me through the process prior to moving anything. He also was very cautious on how he moved my valuables. Not one knick, scrape or broken item. He moves fast, safe and securely. Once he was done prior to signing off he had me look over everything to make sure I was happy. Absolutely I have recommended to three friends who are moving in the next 30 days. Definitely would use this service again if needed.

Excellent experience. Our movers - Mike and Vlad were extremely professional, friendly, courteous, and also fast. We paid by the hour and these men didn't waste any time. They were also very careful, & wanted to place everything just where we wanted it. They even found a long lost video remote deep inside of a sofa.The move involved a lot of stairs - from a 2nd floor place to a 3rd floor place, and it was raining. They were upbeat the whole time, never complaining or acting put out in the least. We chose SEMS Moving because of the excellent reviews we read and were very happy we did. We highly recommend this company as well as the two young men who moved us!!

Posting reviews is not something I do as a rule, however I would like to register my sincere appreciation of the manner and professionalism in the way in which the two guys carried out my relocation. The two were Phillip and Ilya, and if they were out there representing my company, I would be extremely proud of them. Two men who knew their work and how to treat their customers well; nothing being too much trouble. Please pass on my grateful thanks to two of the nicest, hardworking, professional guys around. They are worth their weight in gold.

I met this mover while I was out looking at apartments and was impressed with how they were working. There was no dilly dallying, they were working hard and it showed. I asked them for a contact number and called to get a price for my move. They came out to deliver half a dozen garment boxes a week before my move. Made things much easier for myself. They showed up on time, were very professional and nothing was damaged during the course of the move. Very happy and would highly recommend this mover to anyone needing one.
